This course is aimed at anyone interested in finding out more about what the Equality Act sets out as Protected Characteristics and how they are impacted by domestic abuse.

We will assess and understand how DA can impact many different types of people in a variety of ways.

• Understand how those with protected characteristics can be discriminated against
• Consider what leads to discrimination and what the impact of it is
• Consider how to manage cases dealing with people who fall under protected characteristics
• Discuss what you can do to help & what not to do
• Identify specialist services that can support and advocate.
